Over the past several years, Virsys12 has had the great honor of supporting the efforts of the non-profit LiveBeyond. Headquartered in Nashville, LiveBeyond is a faith-based, humanitarian organization focused on transforming an oppressed community in Thomazeau, Haiti by providing good health and hope for the future. Haiti lacks a strong health care infrastructure, and in remote areas like Thomazeau, medical care resources are very limited. LiveBeyond provides people in the region with access to health care check-ups and treatments, and is currently building a hospital complex to offer life-saving procedures, treatments and services.
LiveBeyond also offers programs that include care for those with disabilities, orphan care, clean water, community development, education and more. The town is 25-miles Northeast of Port-Au-Prince, isolated between mountain ranges and other rough and barren terrain. The region has a population of about 200,000.
Our CEO, Tammy Hawes, first learned about the organization and its work from Jack Locke, a former colleague of hers who is now LiveBeyond’s U.S. Operations Director.
The Virsys12 team immediately saw opportunities for us to provide value to the organization and we have built processes that allow LiveBeyond to better manage its network of donors, create email campaigns and expand its network.
LiveBeyond also arranges for doctors and other medical providers to travel to Haiti to provide care. Our work has streamlined that process and made it easier to connect providers who are willing to give their time and experience to those in need in this community. Additionally, we have automated LiveBeyond’s processing of donations and customized technology for donor outreach. It has been deeply satisfying to be a part of something with such high impact.
